This is another of those themed paper tears that are so popular with magicians. This one from the fertile mind of Ian Adair will be a hit at any Birthday Party show. The effect and presentation are best detailed in Ian's own words below. "Performer displays a strip of wide paper with numbering as follows: 1 0 0 0 He tells the children that the birthday child is celebrating his/her birthday today and (display paper strip) he's 1000 years of age. The children laugh. He's not..oh dear (performer rips off a zero (0) at the end.. sorry, the birthday boy is 100 years of age today, that's right, isn't it ? It's not! Oh Dear! (he rips off another zero (0). That's it.. he's 10 years of age today (most kids parties are 3 up to nine). He's not.. oh dear, I'm getting it all wrong..(rips off another zero) - I've got it right this time, he's 1 year of age today (the children laugh really loud. .cause..he must be a little baby!). He's not 1 year old, (all pieces are bundled together and restored ala regular strip paper tears). I know what age he is..he's seven years of age, and let's wish him a Happy Birthday (Which is now the message on the restored strip)! "
